A new aspect to this season’s (capsule) Las Vegas was the addition of some of our favorite apothecary brands. Lafco New York, also one of Oprah’s favorite things (shout out to O!), offers a wide variety of goods through their 4 sub brands. Not only is their packaging some of the most handsome we’ve seen in quite some time, but their goods are the real deal – shaving nerds should be taking notes. Juniper Ridge, out of California, make some of the finest 100% natural soaps, oils and incense being offered today. In fact, they are the only purveyors of 100% wood incense. Seriously, you cannot buy that anywhere else. So, unless you are going to learn how to make it yourself, you should probably pick some up. Metaphor Organic was also at the show displaying their own natural soaps (the orange cream bar is out of this world and we are not too proud to admit we tried to eat it) and hand salves. What the hell is hand salve you ask? It’s hand lotion minus all the water (there is bacteria in that) and preservatives.
