Brooklyn based Elizabeth Knight Jewelry was founded by Elizabeth Thompson. A Philadelphia native, Elizabeth received her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design and shortly thereafter headed to NYC to start the artist collective, FluxSpace and to begin her foray into jewelry design. The latest collection, Heroine, is aptly titled as it draws inspiration from classic Greek Mythology, specifically ‘The Twelve Labors of Hercules’ a tale that has connections to nature with many revolving around wildlife from skinning a lion, sedating a boar to stealing stallions. The collection features Greek inspired geometric pieces with bold lines and an emphasis on pattern. All the pieces are made in Brooklyn from sketch to finish. This season’s offerings are all caste in brass and plated in a soft matte gold with emerald and garnet stone insets. Bangles and earrings make up the breadth, while a porcupine quill headdress and leather belt are the perfect statement pieces round out the collection.
