Capsule Takes Over Le Bain This Friday

We’re pairing up with the lovely Jules Kim of Bijules to lay claim on the roof of the Standard this Friday in preparation for Capsule’s NY Mens Show. In conjunction with Jules, Good Peoples NYC, and Katie Longmeyer, the Capsule crew plans to show all of our lovely guest just how good the company they’re in is.

Jules has been a queen of the New York party scene for years, and we caught up with her to ask her about some of her favorite events in the city, what you should be wearing, and what you’ll hear pumping through the speakers. Get ready to get sweaty with us. The party runs from 3-8, this Friday, July 20.

After opening a show space on Bowery you held a séance, did you rise spirits from the dead? Was that your first séance?

I chose to open The Bijulesterie with a séance because, by definition, a seance breathes collective energy into bringing something to life. the showroom was an unknown and neglected space and its infancy needs nurturing from our fashion and creative communities in order to grow into its potential. The Bijulesterie is a reflection of the Bijules brand as well as a destination experience. I feel quasi maternal watching it grow in a way different from many other designers and fashion brands. The uniqueness in development sets it apart from the general.

Best thing to order at le Bain on a Friday afternoon?

LE BICYCLETTE! origin: Submercer. Personal maximum: 4.5 and then black out city.

What should we wear?

Duh, whatever you feel like. I think I’ll wear a vintage YSL pick me up this Friday. And I will be gladly accepting any gifts that come my way. I’m not shameful about being a rooftop posterchild.

What’s the best party you’ve been to recently (besides Summer Fridays, because they obviously win)

Merci, merci. The dark disco parties have been killing it, thank you Good Peoples!

The one song you want to hear every single time you attend an event.

Hands down, Major Lazer’s “Get Free” ft. Amber Coffman from The Dirty Projectors.
