(WeAreTheMarket has invited Jake Gallagher, editor of Wax-Wane.com to contribute a series of articles that delve into the thought process behind the collections.)
Daisuke Obana has an enviable understanding of enduring design. For years Obana worked in the vintage market as a buyer and manager before starting N. Hoolywood in 2000. Obana capitalizes on his understanding of what makes for a timeless garment to create collections that are thoughtfully handsome. His strength lies in placing his historical background and knowledge into a contemporary setting to produce beautiful pieces. Obana spoke with us about his influences in his upcoming collection.
What were your biggest inspirations in creating this collection?
