The word ‘study,’ be it in reference to the physical space of one’s personal work nook or simply in its verbal capacity, conjures up images of academia, class, and days of old. For Svbscription, the New York based bespoken parcel curators, ‘study’ in its various forms is the second and latest theme of their subscriber-only product delivery service. Following on from Svbscription Version 1, which centered on the concept of travel, the team has curated a selection of objects based around their interpretation of the term ‘study’ for the second installment, which will be delivered to subscribers this week.
This time around, Svbscription has again selected a handful of high end designer objects inspired by and tailor-made to fit the narrative of this season’s subject. The objects are all carefully selected; one of our favorite pieces is an exclusive navy suede leather folio produced by the designers at Loden Dager, akin to the leather folio shown in their AW12 collection. Also included in the parcel is the highly anticipated new comic fiction book, ‘The Yips’ by Nicola Barker, and a custom metal travel tube by New York perfumery Le Labo, which features the engraved initials of each subscriber. Capping it all off, no pun intended, is a Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen from the heritage German pen company, a fundamental addition to the supplies of any discerning studier.
