Just as quickly as it came, London Fashion Week has come to an end. Much of the talk from across the pond this season came in the form of outrage from designers, editors, models and casting agents who argue that the 5-day event is too short (New York, Milan and Paris are much longer by comparison) and that the pressure from Marc Jacobs pushing back his show to a later spot coupled with Gucci’s demanding model requests (the Italian fashion house demanded that their models be flown into Milan for fittings days before the show) left the event in disarray. Regardless of the scheduling conflicts, however, what we were left with is really a testament to the power of British design. From the handcrafted creations at Burberry to the South Beach-inspired, housewife appropriate garments at Jonathan Saunders, we’re pleased to present you with some of London Fashion Week’s top highlights. – Adrian Brinkley
