2. Showing Too Much Skin
Two things that make us very uncomfortable: Anja Rubik’s weird protruding hip bone and Thom Browne’s ankles. There are only so many jokes that can be made about the fashion crisis that is sweeping the red carpet–the ever present awkward thigh presentation. Angelina Jolie at the Oscars was presenting. And you, Anja, are presenting. Didn’t your mother ever tell you not to show upper thigh (or lower abdomen with the height of that slit) and cleavage at the same time? You would think designer Anthony Vaccarello would know not to cut so high. People might get the wrong impression. And Thom Browne, your ankles are so bare, and there are so many beautiful layers on your top half. It makes you look short. The cuffing situation is confusing. Please just roll down your pant legs, this is a ball, not a beach volleyball tournament. We get it, but it’s enough already.
