In his collection for Trussardi, designer Umit Benan paid homage to 3 time Formula 1 champion Jackie Stewart, who made his name in 60s and 70s with his victorious record, and unmistakable style. His black cap and sideburns helped elevate his status to style icon. Benan’s collection harkened back to the disco era, with groovy patterns, fit and flair silhouettes, a macho attitude and a rust-based palette that takes us back. Butter soft leathers, and statement satchels are highlights of the A/W 2012 collection.
