The seasonal menswear trade show known as (capsule) will be returning to New York City for the fifth consecutive year on January 16 & 17. It’s shopping in the round, open to the public (!!), at the entry to the show…featuring the finest American vintage clothing dealers all bringing a ton of treasure, plus new wares from some really amazing companies. It’s the (capsule) lifestyle come to life in store form! Buy for yourself because you didn’t get enough for Christmas, or buy for friends because you’re sweet like that. The New Amsterdam Vodka Lounge at (capsule)
Forget those downtown hipster barbers, ok? Paul Mole is the gold standard (you know, with clients like John Steinbeck, William F. Buckley, Henry Fonda, John John and Joe DiMaggio since 1913). Their barbers will be in the house doling out straight razor shaves for guests of the New Amsterdam lounge who can also sip hi/lo screwdrivers and get their (surely, beautiful) shoes shined. High above the show floor in a kitted out relaxation zone, the New Amsterdam lounge will be the place for meetings…or peace of mind.
