Denim label 5EP, known for its high quality, handcrafted, fashion forward approach to denim dressing for men, is launching a women’s collection this season featuring custom- made stretch selvedge denim, developed exclusively for the label. Designer Christine Rucci calls the collection “very 80′s. It’s Hollywood vintage glamour girl with Carrie Otis looks," she says. Knit Henley shirt dresses; slim-cut shirts in antique yarn dye stripes & plaids; fitted velvet vests; and old time bib tuxedo shirts are all key items in the collection.
The men’s collection, which is sold at top boutiques like Oak, takes inspiration from the beatnik / rockabilly styles of the 1960s for fall 2007.
