3 Favorite stores in Paris:
L’Eclaireur (10 rue Boissy d’Anglas 75008) the selection there is very demanding, every cloth is an art piece you’d like to wear
Merci (111 Boulevard Beaumarchais 75004) Going there is like a nice travel, the store is beautiful and you can always find a nice present, discover fashion designers, nice design pieces
Shakespeare & Company (37 Rue Bûcherie 75005) A legendary bookstore, entering this place is like diving into a Tim Burton movie, a timeless address you need to know
Potemkine (30 Rue Beaurepaire 75010) Cancel all your appointments before entering this store, they ve got the best cinema avant garde selection ever, from Fellini to Eisenstein you will just wish to get a second lifetime to watch all of these masterpieces. Then take a walk to the Canal Saint Martin and imagine you’re in an American in Paris
Best place to be out at 3am in Paris?
Silencio (142, Rue Montmartre, 75002) new address, already classic, best cocktails, designed by David Lynch
Le Baron (6 Avenue Marceau 75008) The legendary night club that made Paris nights so decadent
Favorite bar (and drink) in Paris?
Le Pompon! (39 rue des Petites Ecuries 75010) My friend Charaf Tajer opened this incredible place a year ago. Parisian atmosphere all the way! Make sure to come early cause it looks like all Paris wants to dance on this great dance floor (and they re right!). My favorite cocktail is the Bobby one, not to be missed.
Best quick meal in Paris:
Rose Bakery (30 Rue Debelleyme, 75003) Organic food, delicious salads, refreshing juices, British atmosphere, a nice pause on a busy day
Best leisurely eats in Paris: Le Dauphin / Tokyo Eat / Le Châteaubriand / Le Derrière / La Fidélité / Chez Omar
Tourist attraction even a local can love in Paris: Have a walk in Montmartre, hanging out in Le Marais and visit the contemporary art galleries, go to the Louvre, drink a good Chablis wine with fresh oysters at the Marché d’Aligre on Sunday, go to an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo.
Favorite mode of transportation: A beautiful bike by Jacques Ferrand (who also makes beautiful bags and wallets, handmade, each piece is an artwork you can personalize with colors and leather fabrics).
Insider tip to foreigners who are visiting Paris: Ella Fitzgerald “I love Paris” in your headphones, a coffee on a terrasse, a book in your hands, a smile on your face.
