Picking out the perfect spring/summer selection was easy at (capsule). Filled with a plethora of amazing items—clothes, shoes, accessories, you name it— cruising (capsule) was like cruising the coolest mall of international designers you could imagine (plus, you get to see everything a few seasons ahead.) From Mark McNairy’s new shoes to Beth Richards’ one shoulder bathing suit, editor Hana May perused (capsule) and snapped some of her favorite items for S/S ‘12.
1.) A Peace Treaty – Rattle Snake Necklace
A new way to wear “snake,” (as in not snake skin) this A Peace Treaty Rattle Snake Necklace instantly caught our eye. Complete with a beautiful blue stone.
2.) Beth Richards – “Audrey” Bathing Suit
One-piece bathers are back in style and not going anywhere soon. With a little bit of padding in the shoulder, this Beth Richards’ suit takes things to a new height—including that shoulder.
3.) Court Denim – Star Shorts
Summer is not complete without a good pair of short shorts. Add stars and you’ll be equipped to wear these from Fourth of July until pants season is back.
4.) Mark McNairy – Playboys
Pretty much addicted to all things McNairy these days. These grey and black Playboys aren’t helping the addiction.
5.) Miansai- Key Chain
Sometimes it’s the little things that count. Apply that theory to these adorable Minsai key rings.
6.) Minimarket – Starter Jacket
This eye-catching print was created by German artist Olaf Hajek. Used on a starter jacket style and we have a win win.
7.) Soludos – Espadrilles
Espadrilles made a big resurgence in s/s ’11. They’re not going anywhere for s/s ’12 and we’re happy about it. A classic Soludos style in this fun print, even better.
8.) Kenny – Shorts
Purple velvet with gold detailing on these East Asian-inspired Kenny shorts. Need we say more…
9.) Timo Weiland – Dress
Timo Weiland’s s/s ’12 collection was all about interesting fabrics and exceptional detailing. For this dress it meant pairing a beautiful print with mesh.
10.) WoodWood – Backpack
Backpacks had a strong presence at the show. This WoodWood backpack with red and blue stripes was a favorite. Just throw it in the bag.
