Natalie Wood’s AW13 collection for Something Else is an immersion of color and print inspired by forces beyond our worldly atmosphere. The palette includes soft blues and creams which are balanced with deep reds, marigold, and midnight blue to reflect the sky’s ever-changing vista. Zodiac signs, starscapes, planetary constellations, and solar rays define Something Else’s signature prints. “The Astrologer’s” silhouettes encompass soft femininity and strong androgynous shapes through the use of peplum, cut outs, drapery, and cross over hems. Silk, satin, and knitwear are the core fabrics of the collection, while mesh knits and hints of metallic provide a luxurious touch. In consistency with previous collections, “The Astrologer” features artist collaborations presenting work by George Barnes, Hisham Bharoosha, Esh Turbo, Victoria Garcia, and Penny McIntyre.
