Pitti Uomo is officially underway!  The Florence trade show marks the eight week long fashion wave we all know and love.  So, what’s today’s big news coming out of Italy?

Bruce Pask wraps up day one of the show by highlighting Liberty of London and Barbour’s Steve McQueen tribute collection.

Style.com previews some men’s F/W 2011 collections, many of which are currently showing at Pitti.  Highlights include Mark McNairy’s debut collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills and Adam Kimmel’s Carhartt collaboration.

Speaking of Adam Kimmel, the designer recently gave an interview to Dazed Digital regarding his much buzzed about collection for Carhartt.
